Major Kelli Bailiff is the Executive Officer for the Operations Division, comprised of Patrol, Investigations and the Judicial Division at the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas City, KS. Kelli graduated from the FBI National Academy, 200th Session and currently serves as a YLP Counselor/Instructor. She serves her Chapter as the Chair of the vendor program for their joint retrainer. Major Bailiff has been recognized numerous times locally and nationally for her work with victimized children. She is and has been for 24 years, the on-air host of Child Search, which airs on KMBC-TV Channel 9 news, a program dedicated to locating missing children and educating families on child safety. She is known as the community’s child safety expert and does special safety commercials that can be seen on many internet sites. Child Search has helped to reunite hundreds of children with their families. Major Bailiff has a Bachelor’s degree from Mid-America Nazarene University in Management and Human Relations. Major Bailiff serves on many local civic boards to include the Crime Stoppers / Tips Hot Line.
In 2016, Major Bailiff was bestowed the United States Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the United States Volunteer Service Award and the United States Gold Points of Light Foundation Award. She joins only 3 other people who have received even one of these awards in the KC Metro area.
