Steve Cox is a graduate of the 143rd Session. He served 27 years with the Leawood, Kansas Police Department, retiring as Chief of Police. He then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Steve served as Secretary/Treasurer of the New Mexico Chapter for more than a dozen years. He was appointed to the Charitable Foundation board in 2012 as the Section 1 representative. In 2013 he returned to the Kansas City area and became a director at large. He was named Vice Chair in 2017. Steve chairs the Science and Innovation Award Committee and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Kansas/Western Missouri Chapter.
